How to remove your own watermark from a video for free

November 4, 2026

You made the video, but there is an old logo, a camera stamp or a wrong brand sitting in the corner, and you no longer have the clean version. Here is how to take it out for free, without installing anything and without sending your video to anyone.

Before you start

Use this only on video you own or have permission to edit. Removing someone else's watermark or credit is not what it is for, and the tool asks you to confirm this before every run. You can read the responsible use page for the details.

The steps

  1. Open the Watermark Remover and choose your video (MP4 or MOV works best, up to 200 MB and 5 minutes). It stays on your computer.
  2. Wait for the scan. The tool looks at a handful of frames and looks for something that stays in the same place while the picture changes. If it finds one, it outlines it in pink.
  3. Check the outline. If the pink shape sits on your watermark, you are done with this step. If the tool says it could not find one, drag the box onto the watermark yourself and drag the corner to resize it.
  4. Tick the box that says you own the video or have permission to edit it.
  5. Press Remove watermark. Your own computer does the work, so a longer clip takes a while. Keep the tab open.
  6. Download the result and compare the before and after frame shown on the page. The original sound is kept.

What to expect

It works best on small logos or text that stay in one spot. See-through marks can often be undone cleanly. Solid marks have nothing left underneath, so the gap is filled in from other frames or from the area around it, and a faint patch can remain. Always play the finished video before you rely on it.
